While living in the city, our family dreamed of owning land to grow our own vegetables, raise our own animals, and become more self-sustaining. Our convictions grew into a desire to feed our children food that was not only delicious but also full of nutrition and void of any chemicals. In 2016 we moved to Roxboro, NC to farm. Slowly Eight Arrows Farm was born!
Using methods that are natural to animals we raise chickens for meat, egg-laying chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and pigs. All animals are rotated on the grass to ensure their healthy development while also improving the quality of the soil. Nutrient-dense meat begins with healthy soil! We also supplement with organic grain from Reedy Fork Farm. Our two livestock guardian dogs, Harper and Bailey, protect the animals.
All our pastured poultry is processed right here on the farm! Being licensed and inspected to process prevents the animals from being stressed as they receive individual care. Our pork is processed at Acres Station in little Washington, NC. Our rabbit is processed at Brittany Ridge Farm in Hookerton, NC. We believe in supporting local farmers and do everything in our power to buy local and encourage using the resources that are closest to us.
It brings us great joy to share the fruits of our labor with the community. You can find us at local farmer’s markets or you can visit our online store. We deliver within a 25-mile radius of the farm and a 10-mile radius of South Durham.
